The Durant Society is a loyal and generous circle of alumnae, parents, and friends of the College whose leadership giving and enthusiastic commitment to Wellesley College set an example, inspire others, and make a significant impact.

The Durant Society was named in honor of Pauline and Henry Durant, founders of Wellesley College, who were passionate about the higher education of women. Established in 1969, the society celebrates Wellesley’s most generous supporters, whose gifts play a vital role in ensuring the fiscal health of the College.

All gifts of $2,500 or more ($500 for alumnae 1-5 years after graduation; $1,000 for alumnae 6-10 years after graduation) made in this fiscal year (July 1, 2013-June 30, 2014)—including outright gifts, monthly installment gifts, matching gifts, and planned gifts—qualify a donor for inclusion in The Durant Society.
